WHO IS TEE & HONEY

Tee & Honey’s mission is to create functional, inspiring, and comfortable athleisure wear for women. Whether it be running errands, working out, or lounging around the house, Tee & Honey creates quality and empowering clothing that will make women look and feel wonderful.

THE PROBLEM

Hip Hop’s relationship with women is full of highs and lows.  In fact, one look into the marginalization of women in hip hop, and their contributions, it’s easy to view the genre as a boys club.  Since the early days of hip hop, women have made their mark by being a voice for the voiceless, uplifting their sisters, and holding their own in a room filled with braggadocious men. Through powerful lyrics and affirmations, several women in hip hop taught me the importance of putting myself first, making money moves, and being proud of my feminine prowess. 

OUR APPROACH

Through positive messaging and relatable quotes on apparel Tee & Honey's Queendom Collection is on a mission to dispel any myths of negativity in hip hop as it relates to women.  We’re changing the narrative by celebrating hip hop artists that celebrate women through their lyrics.  Education is also one of the goals.

DEMOGRAPHIC

Women 26-40 years of age are the core group that will drive Tee & Honey's success.  This target group is responsible for the growth and popularity of athleisure wear.  The key will be promoting quality, attractiveness, nostalgia, and savings.

FUNDING

Your investment will be used toward marketing and operations. 

Marketing (45%) - It takes money to make money.  That means we must advertise to get our brand in front of the right people.  

Inventory(30%) - Buying inventory can get expensive.  Buying inventory in larger amounts will tighten up productivity and reduce our shipping timelines.

Operations (25%)  -  We need a team of talented individuals to make sure this operation runs smoothly.  We need to hire an attorney, marketing expert, in-house designer, and production assistants. 

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, female hip hop artists inspired us to be bold and to uplift each other.  Tee & Honey creates merchandise that reminds women of their Queen status.
