Project Description
Money News Network is the first-of-its-kind business- and finance-focused podcast network. MNN’s mission is to champion financial literacy and bridge the wealth gap by not only reporting on financial issues, but helping provide solutions.
The creation of MNN is a direct response to the heightened need for financial education: more than one-third of Americans say they’re in worse financial shape than last year, and 77% of Americans report feeling anxious about their financial situation. At the same time, new business applications are hitting record highs and over the last three years, brokerages have seen an unprecedented surge in first-time investors and traders. These trends show how financial literacy is more important, and in-demand, than ever.
Money News Network content brings free financial education to millions of downloads every month, but we want to do more. We’re raising money to outfit Money News Network’s studio with video equipment, so we can expand the reach of our content to video platforms.
Of its initial slate, MNN has six podcasts out now: the daily financial advice and news show “Money Rehab with Nicole Lapin,” the career development show “Help Wanted with Jason Feifer and Nicole Lapin,” the advanced investing podcast “We Have Options with Dominique Broadway,” the wealth-building show in English and in Spanish “Money Maker with Nely Galán / Mi Mundo Rico con Nely Galán,” the stock trading show “Trade Like Einstein with Peter Tuchman,” the call-in style money advice show with a tech-forward twist, “Money Assistant.” MNN also has additional shows in development, including a financial crime series “Filthy Rich,” and a venture capital show “Pitch Me with Jesse Draper.
