Style IngeNEWity Rentals is a rental service that partners with new, emerging, and independent fashion designers to reshape the fashion industry by creating innovative, one of a kind women's wear collections for rent.

The Problem

1. Simply put, unless we are talking about couture, custom made, runway, or some luxury store items, TRUE innovation is often lacking in the fashion market season after season. But the thing is there is absolutely no lack of talent, relatable brands with powerful stories and innovation out there. Lesser known designers just take a while to get the notoriety they deserve. And although things have gotten slightly better, big designers are still making clothes for one particular body type that most women don't have. It's safe to say that unique and size-inclusive options are hard to find and new perspectives in fashion are needed.

2. Fast fashion makes up 66% of all online fashion traffic and contributes to 5% of the world's waste in landfills (92mill tons), 10% of carbon emissions, and a ton of exploitation of people + resources. In the age of Cancel culture and the increasing value of sustainability, we no longer care what the product is by itself but more about the process. So many brands are built on the exploitation of certain groups and we are no longer settling for that. It's important to know if a brand values what you value.

3. Emerging designers are always rising, but this is still very much an untapped area in the industry that isn’t invested in. Talented Designers are struggling to be seen in a saturated market or to get their designs noticed by a big name retailer due to a lack of resources/funds or just a chance to show their talent in a cut-throat industry, especially if they are people of color.  Unfortunately, there are not many platforms, if any, for us to run into them all in one place and support, especially not to rent. So we either end up wearing the exact outfits with no real reason or distinction or we spend thousands of dollars to look somewhat different.

The rental fashion industry has not only proven to be valuable but also super sustainable as a whole. Less waste but constant slay! However, we are taking it a step further by creating one of a kind collections and allowing people to consciously choose the brands they want to shop from. The collections we curate will be ethically sourced, created with quality and fine craftsmanship. SI rentals will offer an online closet of fashion-forward items. Instead of constantly spending on new items that you might only wear once and supporting brands that don't care about the things you care about, you’ll have a revolving door closet that does both without you lifting a finger. Luxury designer items for rent at a fraction of the retail cost.

We are bringing new, independent, and emerging designers to the forefront and Inviting those who might not work directly in the fashion industry (YOU), to be more involved in the decisions in the fashion industry. This is more than just another fashion rental. It's a movement for change in the industry.

The Style IngeNEwity woman has a desire to experiment, play, and express herself when it comes to fashion. She may or may not be fashion-forward right now but is open and excited about all the ways to up her style game. She is tired of the same ol' same ol' in stores or expensive items she’s only worn a handful of times. But most importantly she is bold, inside and out, and embodies that boldness in every aspect of their life. She takes control of not only what she puts into her body but also on her body.

For 5+ years as a Personal Stylist, I have connected and worked with emerging designers. I see their talent, passion, drive, hear their stories, and their struggles first hand. Si rentals will now bring their clothing to you at an affordable cost. I am extremely passionate about taking the fashion industry to the next level where we are inclusive of different budgets, body types, races, and people who are sometimes left out of fashion.

My clients always praise my 'eye for unique items' so creating this go-to source for you to find and experiment with the latest in fashion is a dream come true. It is also important to me to create a go-to space for upcoming designers to thrive in the beginning stages when they need as many new eyes on their work as possible.

Our Goal

We are raising funds for the development and creation of our first designer collections. We will be partnering with and investing in local designers to create exclusive rental collections either from scratch or their previous designs that we love. Then we want to bring this to market by executing a community-focused marketing campaign where you get to be involved in the process as we spotlight designers and other creatives in fashion editorials that will help us reach our target audience...you!
