My name is Kristen Delacruz and I live in Redcrest, California with my husband of 14 years, Dylan, son Kane,6, and daughter Danica,10. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, and a Masters in Applied Psychology. I am an overachiever who loves scholarly research and understanding why we do the things we do. I have always loved wearing makeup, especially how it can enhance our features and can change how you feel inside. This is something that makes me feel good and I want to promote happiness in others as well.
The purpose for beginning this endeavor was to provide a new and innovative way to help common skin aliments. Most importantly, those who suffer from acne really have a place in my heart. As a past sufferer of painful cystic acne following my first pregnancy I not only lost all self esteem but fell into serious depression. Doctors prescribed me medication known to cause tumors in rats and I did take that for some time but it was not something that I wanted inside my body. After using CBD oil I haven't looked back since. For this reason, among many more, I developed a product that micro-doses skin cells daily with PCR Hemp Oil which may help those who suffer with acne, rosacea, scarring, and more ailments. Furthermore, the rejuvenation of skin cells reducing aging, and provides supple, healthy skin. The increase in self esteem while still feeling beautiful and treating your skin is something that I felt that the cosmetic market lacked.
Since November 2017, I have been working with a cosmetics lab here in California formulating the first color cosmetics with PCR Hemp Oil retrieved via whole plant extract. The Liquid foundation contains 1g of oil and micro dosed at 8.75mg per use. The Liquid lipstick has .5g of oil at 2.98mg per use. I am Patent Pending and my PCR Hemp Oil is created from a company owned by one of the researchers from Proactiv. Terpenes, or a plants essential oils, in the PCR Hemp Oil allow it to penetrate deeper layers of skin for increased benefits.
Science Based Skin Treatment
I honestly want to help others in a way that is transparent and truthful. I will provide easily accessible lab results online where customers can know what they are really using on their skin. I believe in making evidence based decision making and feel the future of skin issue prevention is within PCR Hemp Oil. In my opinion, it seems as if our loyalty to brands override actually researching the ingredients in them, wherein products can be counterproductive. Promises of perfect pictures and small pores are only deterrents to what’s behind the scenes. Beauty is not sacrifice. We’re all beautiful inside so why would we wear anything that can lead to premature aging or cancer? Know your makeup! Promote wellness and transparency in life!
Spectra Cosmetics is the first color cosmetics brand that incorporates PCR Hemp Oil in the beauty industry.
I have invested approximately $35k through product development, RIPT Testing, PET/MLT, Stability, and CBD Content, and am now ready to be in full product production. The initial launch includes 4 foundation shades (light, light/medium, tan, deep) at 1000 qty each ($18,000), and 2 liquid lipstick shades at 1000 qty each ($9,000). Outer Packaging and product containers will cost $21,000 (based on suppliers MOQ of 10k per product container, so extra will be on hand for future production) and $60,000 is needed for the PCR Hemp Oil (purchased separate from cosmetic lab).
Why I Need Help
The amount for final production is high based on the labs MOQ. After launching these products I'll be able to sustain product production on my own. I need these funds as soon as possible since I have exhausted my saving and am now at a halt. The amount that I need is $108,000 to begin. I have money that I can put towards final production, advertising, etc. so I am only asking for $88,000.
I appreciate the time you have taken to read my request and hope that you will believe in me and my products. Thank you!
The PCR Hemp Oil in my cosmetic line is produced using parts of the plant which are excluded from the definition of marijuana under the CSA Act, meaning it is not a controlled substance and has no psychoactive properties. Further explanation is discused in the 'DEA Internal Directive Regarding the Presence of Cannabinoids in Products and Materials Made from the Cannabis Plant.'
In 2004, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit enjoined DEA from enforcing certain regulations with respect to tetrahydrocannabinols (THC). See Hemp Industries Ass'n v. DEA, 357 F.3d 1012 (9th Cir. 2004). The government did not seek Supreme Court review of that decision. In response to various inquiries, DEA hereby issues to DEA personnel the following internal directive on how to carry out their duties in light of the Ninth Circuit's decision.
The Ninth Circuit enjoined enforcement of what is now 21 C.F.R. § 1308.11(d)(31) (drug code 7370) with respect to products that are excluded from the definition of marijuana in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA). DEA thus does not enforce that provision as to such products.
Products and materials that are made from the cannabis plant and which fall outside the CSA definition of marijuana (such as sterilized seeds, oil or cake made from the seeds, and mature stalks) are not controlled under the CSA. Such products may accordingly be sold and otherwise distributed throughout the United States without restriction under the CSA or its implementing regulations. The mere presence of cannabinoids is not itself dispositive as to whether a substance is within the scope of the CSA; the dispositive question is whether the substance falls within the CSA definition of marijuana.
The Controlled Substances Import and Export Act incorporates the schedules of the CSA. See generally21 U.S.C. §§ 951-971. Accordingly, any product that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection determines to be made from the cannabis plant but which falls outside the CSA definition of marijuana may be imported into the United States without restriction under the Controlled Substances Import and Export Act. The same considerations apply to exports of such products from the United States, provided further that it is lawful to import such products under the laws of the country of destination.

Risks and challenges
One challenge I have is in educating people who are loyal to other brands within the beauty industry to believe in the truth that my PCR Hemp Oil Infused make up is both high quality and good for their skin. I'm basically building a bridge between two groups with a purpose of supporting wellness and physically appealing qualities. Challenges with the product production is mostly monetary wherein the initial start up requirements from the cosmetic lab and PCR oil lab are high.
