**Mission:** The mission of the MilliUp Event Center an Uptown Charlotte Entrepreneurship Hub is to promote social economic growth through system entrepreneurship. We want to create a space where kids from all backgrounds can learn about entrepreneurship and develop the skills they need to start their own businesses.
**Problem:** The problem we are solving is the lack of access to entrepreneurship education for kids from low-income families. According to a recent study, only 2% of high school students from low-income families have taken an entrepreneurship course. This lack of access to education is a major barrier to social economic mobility.
**Market size/opportunity:** The market size for entrepreneurship education is huge. In the United States alone, there are over 70 million kids between the ages of 5 and 18. Of those kids, 40 million are from low-income families. That means there is a huge opportunity to reach kids from low-income families with entrepreneurship education.
**Company/product:** The MilliUp Event Center aka The Uptown Charlotte Entrepreneurship Hub will be a physical space where kids can learn about entrepreneurship. The space will have classrooms, workshops, and labs where kids can learn about business planning, marketing, and financial literacy. The space will also have a mentorship program where kids can get one-on-one support from experienced entrepreneurs.
**How it solves the problem:** The Uptown Charlotte Entrepreneurship Hub will solve the problem of lack of access to entrepreneurship education by providing a physical space where kids from low-income families can learn about entrepreneurship.
