After being stuck in the house last year, we're just like you -- eager to pack up our bags and enjoy long, carefree summer days by the pool! But we had to ask ourselves...what can we be doing to ensure that everyone has a GOOD summer?

We can...

Year-round, Power Pump Girls, Inc. (PPG) is putting in the work to eradicate the stigma of menstruation through education and advocacy. Through the secured. program, PPG also provides FREE essential period care products to those in need.

With your help, Power Pump Girls will be able to provide year-round access to menstrual care products at zero cost to individuals or organizations in need. 

All monies donated through this campaign will go towards purchasing bulk period care inventory and funding the management system for secured.

It's simple...

The PPG period bank will provide ongoing opportunities for partners and volunteers to have a hand in securing the bag for women and girls across the state.

Power Pump Girls, Inc. is a social impact club that empowers women to connect + serve. 

What PPG has done

+ Launched #secured. Initiative in 2018 with the goal of eliminating period poverty and eradicating the stigma associated with menstruation. To date, we've secured the bag with over 11,000-period care products for under-served women - that's 513 worry-free periods!

+ Mobilized our network to push for support of Louisiana House Bill 7 bipartisan legislation that successfully passed and made period products and diapers exempt from local sales tax.

+ Created the #onlyhangwithvoters campaign in partnership with a young professionals org to encourage civic engagement in the 2020 Louisiana Gubernatorial election. This election ended with the highest Black voter turnout in state history. 

+ Responded to the blood shortage due to the COVID-19 pandemic by partnering with the Mayor's Office to host the Midcity Millennials Blood Drive that provided units of blood to save up to 100 lives. #onlyhangwithdonors

+ Provided hurricane relief to residents in Lake Charles, La following Hurricane Laura. PPG distributed 4,544 products to over 130+ individuals in a matter of hours.

+ Designed movement-centric merchandise to express a larger message of solidarity with individuals fighting inequality and hate. In wearing the shirts, supporters display a message that speaks volumes on behalf of anyone whose voice has ever been silenced. #onlyhangwithallies
