Superfood ancient grains and legumes like Millet, Teff, Sorghum, legumes and ancient wheat have fed humans around the world for thousands of years. Today, these forgotten foods from the past play a vital role in sustainable, "regenerative" agriculture for the future.
We believe that this "agro-ecological" method of farming creates biodiversity in our farmlands. Regenerative agriculture has the potential to help restore the world's soils, making them more drought-resistant, disease-resistant, and less dependent on chemical inputs.

All of our products are gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, and designed to be easily prepared by any home cook in your family with minimal ingredients.
"Just add water and oil" is a key feature that allows people to create a favorite staple even when they are lacking other pantry ingredients. In addition to our mixes, we have formulated ready-to-eat finished products such as multigrain pizza /flatbread, pita bread, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, ginger molasses protein cookies, and more.

Snacktivist is a boot-strapped, family-owned start-up raising our first round of money from outside investors. It is an exciting time! 2020 has been a high growth year and we need capital to act on the opportunities coming our way.
Our Amazon and website sales have grown at over 10X in the past six months, and we have been approached by specialty and larger retail chains across the Western US. Each of these channel opportunities requires investment in branding, marketing, sales, and distribution.
We are rapidly approaching the fall and winter baking season and need to invest in inventory in order to be ready for the demand surge, we need your help!

Meet our team
Snacktivst is a registered Idaho B-corp (Benefits corporation). We are fortunate to have a small but scrappy team of motivated "solutionaries" who envision a better future for our health, our food system, and our planet. We have recruited people from across the country despite our headquarters being in the beautiful Northern Idaho Panhandle.
The founder of Snacktivist is Joni Kindwall-Moore, RN, Ethnobotanist, and "Foodie". Her journey began in the 1990s, deep in the jungles of Peru, while assisting researchers seeking new pharmaceuticals and working with an Amazonian Shaman. While speaking with the Shaman, he asked: "Why is it that you scientists will spend so much time and money searching for cures to diseases that could be prevented if you realized that diet was the foundation of health."
Twenty years later, these words lingered in her mind while working as a nurse in the ICU caring for desperately sick patients and struggling to find healthy, convenient foods for her family. As a mom of 3, it was difficult to find foods that everyone in the family could enjoy while accomodating wheat, egg, and dairy allergies/sensitivities. Joni put her science background to work, developing novel recipes from ancient grains that were not only healthy but incredibly delicious and simple to make.
Joni decided that her calling was to found a food brand dedicated to making healthy eating easy and making the dinner table, once again, the foundation of health.
As a mother of three, much of our product development happens in our family kitchen. The Kindwall-Moore children are an important part of the family business especially when there is recipe development to be done! They often accompany Joni on business trips and over the years, have become very helpful members of the team.
Of course, Snacktivist would have never happened without Roy, amazing husband, and Snacktivist team member number 1!
Our executive members, Meg Carlson and Lynn Rundle bring value to our team with their backgrounds ranging from "big food" and conventional agriculture to natural/organic health food brands and "farmer-centered" agriculture. They are both mission-driven, successful entrepreneurs, and investors. We also have a "hands-on", dedicated advisory board guiding the team as we scale.
Our management team consists of Anna Orem and Roy Moore. Anna is a mom of five beautiful children and our "rockstar" fulfillment/warehouse manager. We strive to offer innovative and adaptable work schedules that allow mothers to become "breadwinners", advance their skills and education, and advance into management level work.
Roy Moore is a seasoned Emergency-Trauma RN who also manages our co-packer relations and supply chain when not saving lives at our regional medical center. We long for the day when he can join us full time at Snacktivist Headquarters! Your contributions can help.
Our marketing team consists of two incredible women: Renee Valle and Sami Sattva. They are working tirelessly to build a brand that clearly delivers on delicious and nutritious, while also being a major influencer of the future of our food system. Special thanks to Christina Kindwall and Amber Taylor for their contributions to nurturing our customers and creating great content!
