Project Description

Hello,

My name is Sayuri Mizuta. I am a 29-year-old Japanese forklift operator working in a warehouse in Saitama, Japan. I am currently branching out into the world of silk screen printing and custom t-shirt production and am in need of financial aid.

I’ve had the pleasure of recently working with a close artist friend, put his sketched design onto a T-shirt. I’ve always wanted to be more creative and do something artistic. This is something I enjoy and really want to pursue.

With COVID going strong local artists and bands have been suffering. I’ve reached out to many of them with the idea of promoting their work and art by printing their designs and logos on shirts and they are more than thrilled. I know this will be such a good opportunity as brand awareness is the difference between staying successful as an artist and dying out. Many of the local print shops have 50-100minimum orders and most local bands don’t have the budget to invest in that big of a commitment. I know I can help.

Normally, asking for financial aid wouldn’t cross my mind, and if I did need it, I would turn to family and friends. Unfortunately, my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer late last year and had surgery this September. Although I am over the moon that she is recovering, it left me quite yenniless.  My friends and close acquaintances have helped so much with her medical bills; I cannot ask them for anything more.

I need help with startup costs.  My first few projects have been all DIY and I have a need to upgrade to professional equipment for professional quality.

Silk Screen printing press, frames, heat press, vinyl cutter, laptop, inkjet printer, flash dryer, and rental workspaces are all very costly and I would be so grateful for any bit of help.

My dream is to start now, help local businesses and artists and expand from working in my apartment to an office with working space.

Within two years incorporate more printing styles and methods into the company.

And within 5 years be productive enough to do large enough orders for big concerts, programs and causes globally. I want to expand enough to give back to the community in monetary forms as well.

Thank you so much for your time and for even considering it.

Much love,

Sayuri Mizuta.
