Project Description
- My mission is to make Sustainable and Ethical Fashion the new normal. Fast fashion leads to waste as well as in human working conditions and my goal is to show people that sustainable and ethical can also be stylish, comfortable and not over priced.
- Many brands are focused on profit over people and I believe it is important to ensure there are fair wages and good working conditions being met when producing clothing.
- Sustainability is not just a need but also a fast paced trend happening especially in the metro NYC area. Downtown South Orange has 3.16 million people walk through the main corridor each week due to being a main transit hub for NYC many are coming from outside towns to commute. There is also a small university in our town with many college aged students looking for sustainable options in their lifestyles. My customer is Women and men aged 20-65 who lean liberal in their political beliefs.
- We have been in business for 4 years and are looking to expand to a larger store front on the main street in our current town. The larger foot trafficked area combined with funding for better marketing will help spread out mission.
