- What is the mission of your company or project? We are a woman led organization with a focus on empowering women, while providing women with a weekend to retreat with the focus on growth, and personal development through a variety of traditional and non-traditional self-care practices.
- Describe the problem you are solving. Let me explain MY WHY... this year's retreat is focused on self development and all the very intricate layers to it. If you know me, I have a great passion for understanding, growing, and learning about ways to improve each day with the help of my support network.
Unfortunately not all women get the opportunity, especially those whom may need it the most. This is my call to action for women on a GLOBAL level!
My why is YOU.... My why is her...My why is for all of the women that contribute to the IMPACT and the transformation this experience will have on them. This is an opportunity to lift one another and vibrate higher in unity.

- What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? She’s W.O.K.E (Women’s Outlet to Knowledge & Empowerment) has manifested with the mission to provide a specific need to the community. Critical self-care. We can do the work that we do by organizing various fundraising events throughout the year centered around improving mental, physical, spiritual and financial health. The main event? Our annual She’s W.O.K.E Wellness Retreat! There should not be any barriers between the individual and access to wellness outlets. Our purpose is not to extract but pour into the healing work our community needs. With our mission in mind, we have made this year’s retreat extremely affordable. This work is critical and crucial in these prevalent times.
- Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?
- Funding will provide us the space to continue hosting these women's retreats as well as creating more channels for women to seek ways to improve their personal development such as having a designated location for women to connect with life coaches, health coaches and more.
- Who is on your team? - Our team currently consists of 5 black women.
