• What is sensory processing?
  • Our brain receives, interprets, and responds to both external and internal sensory stimuli.  Development of sensory integration typically begins at infancy through rolling, crawling, walking, playing, engaging with the environment and people within it, etc.  However, for some individuals, the sensory system does not fully develop creating difficulties with sensory integration and participation within their meaningful activities.
• How can sensory processing differences affect someone's ability to participate in their everyday life?
  • Individuals who have difficulty responding to sensory input have an increased likelihood of displaying internalized and externalized ‘problem’ behaviors, which could include aggression toward oneself or others, increased agitation, anxiety, and/or social withdrawal.
• How does this blanket help regulate the sensory system?
  • This blanket provides proprioceptive and tactile input through compression to the body that sends strong messages to the brain that works to provide sensory regulation for increased participation in meaningful activities.
• What does a sensory friendly blanket mean?
  • This therapeutic blanket has added sensory friendly benefits including being moisture wicking, cooling, static free, resistant to body oils and soft texture.
• When is the first launch?
  • We are planning our first launch for early 2024.
• Are these blankets just for kids?
  • Definitely not! These blankets are for anyone with sensory related differences that could benefit from the calming effects of deep pressure input. 
• Who can this blanket benefit?
  • Children or adults with sensory processing differences.  Common diagnoses that experience sensory processing differences include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Prematurity, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Down Syndrome, etc.
