  • What is the mission of your company or project?

    To be able to provide beauty industry professionals with a unique commercial space where they can elevate their brands with additional tools that will align their talent and craft with higher levels of professionalism through a unique commercial space, advancements in technology, standardization, mentorship and operational management resources- all at an affordable rate.

     

  • Describe the problem you are solving.

    A rising issue that we are having within the beauty industry is being able to provide alignment on operational professionalism and the demand to keep up with new and exisiting clients. With my experience in operational process improvement and standardization, we want to meet the upcoming professionals where they're at and provide the necessary technological advancements, operational support and resources that a well versed professional would normally have access to but at an earlier point in their career. By providing this type of resource, we can begin to bridge the gap that is rapidly growing within the beauty industry allowing entreprenuers the opportunity to gain educational resources and in-house support on gold standard customer service and standarization while enhancing the current reputation of beauty professionals. The opportunity to offer these types of services and affordable commercial space to beauty entrepreneurs will in turn enhance and raise the bar for the current climate of the beauty industry.

     

  • What is the market size/opportunity?

    The opportunity lies within providing unique operational resources and standards at an affordable rate for upcoming beauty professionals. Our main goal is to retire the current climate and support an emergence of highly versed professionals from every aspect of business not limited to the services rendered by clients. 

     

  • Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

    We are seeking funding for phase 1 of the buildout:

  • Start-up Costs: The initial investment required for legal, licensing, branding, and marketing activities is estimated at approximately $6,000. This includes legal consultations, permits and licenses, creating an attractive brand identity, designing a logo, developing marketing materials, and launching promotional campaigns.

  • Build-out Expenses: Our facility's build-out is vital to creating a premium environment. We estimate the total build-out cost to be approximately $15,000, encompassing partitioning, electrical and plumbing work, flooring, mirrors, cabinetry, painting, lighting fixtures, and security systems.

  • Hiring Operating Staff: We anticipate the need to employ a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our salon suite business. The operations staff will be responsible for maintaining the facilities and proactively mitigate any risk that arise.The allocated budget for staffing, including recruitment, training, is approximately $3,000.

  • Obtaining Salon Equipment: High-quality salon equipment is essential for offering exceptional services. We estimate the cost of acquiring the necessary salon equipment to be approximately $5,000, covering hair washing stations, hair drying stations, and towels that will be provided to stylists.

  • Upgrading Technology: To expand our reach and streamline our operations, we plan to invest approximately $5,000 in technology infrastructure. This includes implementing salon management payment software, website development, online booking systems, social media advertising campaigns, and customer relationship management tools.

  • Who is on your team?

    Currently my team consists of the CEO and various freelancers that have been hired to complete some of the start-up tasks.

    There is hope to expand the team, providing jobs within the community of Dekalb County, GA and to develop the operational materials and provide in house resources.
