About the Company


Weave Fashion Lab is a women-owned apparel development and production team that helps European brands cultivate sustainable manufacturing practices and clothing built for longevity to mitigate emissions.


Our goal is to address the core challenges of the current dominant fashion manufacturing model by offering a radical alternative that models production practices before industrial Revolution.

With the wars in the regions, EU countries faced refugees, mainly females coming with children. Refugees often don't speak a foreign language and are under the influence of trauma so it's very challenging for them to find a proper job and integrate into the new society.

We will begin by hiring Ukrainian apparel makers who had to leave their country and resettled in the Netherlands and may be vulnerable to unemployment due to a lack of fluency in English or Dutch. As native Russian and Ukrainian speakers with deep ties to the affected areas, we are uniquely committed and equipped to cultivate a safe, nurturing environment for them. 

Many of them have sewing, tailoring and other fashion industry expertise which they may not be able to apply here due to a lack of language or other barriers. 


From the social and environmental side, we are deeply concerned about the state of production in the fashion industry today:

At the same time high minimum orders for production, low quality of patterns and materials, as well as a lack of access to highly qualified professionals in the fashion industry for start-ups and smaller brands makes it nearly impossible or at least extremely challenging to produce high-quality clothes for small and medium-sized brands and avoid massive waste of resources where it can be easily avoided with solutions that Weave Fashion Lab is offering. 

The Leadership

After observing mass production at the detriment to people and the environment in the food and fashion industry, we believe that radical change will require a total reset which our backgrounds and values have uniquely prepared us to facilitate. 


After February 2022, we felt heartbroken and were working on what we could really do to help in this situation. Many women with their children had to leave their homes and find a new one here in the Netherlands. It's challenging. We want to support them. Many of them are well-qualified in fashion manufacturing.  

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for funding to set up a unique fashion production unit in the Netherlands, to offer small and medium-sized brands access to supreme-quality, yet small batches of production right next to their base locations, create product designs and samples. Right now this is only possible for the big fashion houses and big production batches.

Small batches not only optimizes cashflow management while minimizing wasteful expenditure for brands but also reduces the waste of unsold apparel, which often goes to landfill.

Weave Fashion Lab is already doing fashion manufacturing and product development consulting for some years. What we are aiming for - is the next step to set up it's own manufacturing facility.


Weave Fashion Lab's initial objective is to hire between 2-4 (depending on available financing) Ukrainian women refugees, and guarantee them fair working conditions and pay. We will invest in our employees’ vocational training in sustainable fashion and tailoring skills, as we hope to make them experts. 


We will start with creating an empowering workplace in the heart of the Netherlands for 2-4 women and gradually increase it to 8, 16 and 30 people.


We are looking for € 30.000 with your support we will be able to start: 


We already have a signed order portfolio of 4 brands for which we will manufacture at this production unit which allows us to start our production capability. Once the unit is going full steam ahead, we will be able to provide workplaces formore women to fulfill production demand from new incoming brands.


As more funding is raised, we are going to provide a language course, integrational post-trauma psychology and coaching support.

The Big Picture

We are building a State of the Art sustainable fashion production unit in the Netherlands, which is going to be a Fashion Industry changer.

We are going to cultivate ethical and high-end fashion manufacturing based on sustainable principles, respectful and fair working conditions, education and technology.
