Do you frequently wake up feeling like there has to be more to life than this perpetual rat race? How often do you feel the need to make a change in your work and life balance? Do you want realistic solutions to achieve better health for life? Well, that's where I come in.
Hi! My name is Christine Nih'shaw. I'm a certified Nutrition Health Coach, Herbalist, and owner of Riversong Nutrition & Wellness. There's an epidemic in this country -- an epidemic of overwhelming stress, poor sleep, empty nutrition, limited exercise, and a compounding list of health issues. Before my own wellness journey began, I was experiencing the same crisis. It was time for a new approach!
At Riversong Nutrition & Wellness, I work closely with my clients to create a goal for their wellness, identify any obstacles or challenges, and together find realistic solutions to meet their bio-individual needs.
The purpose of my using this platform to acquire funding is three-fold. First, I want to be able open a physical office location. My current consultations are virtual only but I find in-person sessions creates a better sense of connection. As a woman of Blackfeet and Iroquois blood, the importance of community and connection has always been a vital part of our culture and heritage. Our world is in desperate need of personal connections more than ever!
Secondly, I would utilize funds received for marketing services by a local company for the purpose of reaching more people who are desperate to make a change in their lives.
Finally, I would use funds to purchase high quality, third-party tested, nutritional supplements and products to include in personalized wellness packages, as needed.
I can't begin to tell you how much your backing would mean for me and I am deeply grateful for the change to touch as many lives as possible. The greatest reward in Nutrition Health Coaching is in the "ripple" effect. For each life I am able to touch, that person will share their changes with someone else and so on and so forth.

What do you do as a Nutrition Health Coach? I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health. This may be through customizing healthy eating goals, finding a meditation routine that fits into their daily schedule, stress coping, work/life balance, or targeting obstacles that have prevented them from reaching goals in the past.
How does a Nutrition Health Coach differ from other medical providers? With traditional medical visits, the provider is the expert in your healthcare and may prescribe a treatment to aid your symptoms based on their best guess. In health coaching, you are the expert in your healthcare; the Health Coach guides you in making and reaching your wellness goals by customizing a plan to target the root cause of health symptoms you may be experiencing.
What areas of my life can I address with a Nutrition Health Coach? There are numerous avenues that can benefit from a Health Coach such as: eating habits & nutrition, sleep and relaxation, management of stress & weight, healthy financial goals, work & life balance, possible reduction of medications, physical activity, spiritual health, relationships, health maintenance, and mindfulness.
How many visits will I need? This will depend on what your individual needs are. I offer three different packages based on your schedule and bio-individual goals. Meeting with your Health Coach regularly will guide you on your path to lifelong wellness.
How long are coaching sessions? This will also depend on your individual needs and your schedule. The initial consultation is 40 minutes (virtual) and 45 minutes (in-person) with follow-up session lasting 30 minutes each.
Will anyone else have access to the information discussed at my health coaching visits? No. All shared information is confidential and secure. I follow all HIPAA guidelines, which ensure the protection of privacy and your medical information.
How will Health Coaching bring lasting change to my life? Health coaching guides you in mapping out a custom path toward wellness and helps you take small, manageable steps that become long-lasting, sustainable, and powerful changes.
Are you certified? I am a certified Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition - an internationally-recognized nutrition and health coaching school for over three decades - and a certified Herbalist through the Science & Art of Herbalism with world-renowned founder Rosemary Gladstar. I have also worked in patient health care for 30 years in a private office in the Upper Valley and had the pleasure of helping hundreds of people.
