We understand the challenges and joys of this period, having been founded by someone who has walked the same path. Our mission is to offer a nurturing space "for you and them," where parents and children can bond, learn, and enjoy their time together.

Why We Exist:

Raise Playspace was founded in September 2022 by Amanda Rothbart, a former stay-at-home mom with 11 years of experience in education. She recognized the importance of the early years of parenthood and childhood and identified a gap in support during this specific time. It can be an isolating experience to be at home with your children all day, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. Three crucial elements were missing in the Greater Portland area, which we aim to provide at Raise:

• Flexible Drop-In Play: We understand that children's schedules can be ever-changing. That's why we offer a drop-in style play environment, providing parents the flexibility they need.
• Parent-Child Connection: Our enriching classes and support groups foster strong connections between parents and their children. We believe in the power of shared experiences to enhance the parent-child relationship.
• Access to Enrichment and Education: We make it easy for families to access local enrichment and education programs, ensuring that children receive the best opportunities for growth and development.
