What is the mission of your company or project?

The mission of 3Jay Productions is to provide an array of services both business and image related for those that are in creative roles. These roles span across a variety of industries such as the arts, entertainment, beauty, fashion, finance, culinary, and hospitality.

Describe the problem you are solving:

Our unique value proposition is that we are a true one-stop-shop for individuals through mid-size organizations.

What is the market size/opportunity?

Our market opportunity is vast being that our services cross over multiple disciplines and industries. Our competitors are not full-service, they only provide specific services focused on one area. 

What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem?

Our company is 100% service-based and it solves the problem of having multiple businesses when seeking out a provider. For example, if a company is looking to build content for an advertorial campaign they normally have to seek various businesses to provide them with a creative director, talent, video and photographers, studios, hair, makeup, and wardrobe. We solve the problem of providing each of those unique services under our business umbrella;  one tax id, one payout, in return a host of professionals who will produce a great end result. 

Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

COVID-19 swept through the world in 2020 with a vengeance and we were forced to figure out a way to pivot and offer everything digitally/virtually and that has been difficult. The majority of our business is run through in-person contact. At the beginning of this, all of our client projects which were initially planned in 2019 were postponed and then canceled. We had clients with unpaid invoices from work that was completed prior to the stay-at-home order, who could no longer pay their balances. This left our business at a complete standstill and while we were approved for a minimal PPP Loan it has been an uphill battle. The state in which we reside has numbers that are yet again on the rise and Arizona is currently ranked within the Top Five of states with the highest cases. These funds will help position us to get out of a financial hole in 2021 so we are not forced to shut down business.

Who is on your team?

Our team is composed of one full-time person, four part-time, and over 20 independent contractors. 

We have applied for a number of grants and only approved for one. So it can be discouraging to tell your story and it feels like it has fallen on deaf ears. We recognize there are a host of businesses whether women-owned, minority-owned, or otherwise who are all equally affected.  Yet we press and chose not to give up!  Any amount our backers and seed investors can provide will be greatly appreciated.
