Project Description
The mission of Personal Plants is to support and inspire the average person in growing and processing their own therapeutic plants at home. Think of it like the Food Network, but for cannabis and mushrooms! We believe that making plant medicines as accessible as pharmaceutical drugs will help reduce dependence on opiates, Xanax and other chemical-based remedies.
- Plants are having a moment---a big moment. More and more people want to grow them and use as them as remedies and as alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs. Yet, the home grow education and media space is geared towards men and those who have already achieved a basic understanding of plant medicines. At Personal Plants, we want to reach those just beginning their journey!

We're creating must-watch how-to videos, easy-to-use DIY earth medicine kits, and a curated marketplace and ecosystem of plant-based awesomeness, all of which aim to provide earth medicine knowledge and inspiration to everyone!

Inspiration meets Aspiration! - After a year of web, brand and product development, we are ready to get the message out! We are seeking crowdfunding investment to hold a megaphone up to Personal Plants via marketing, PR and content development. The funds will be used to launch a digital media marketing campaign, update the website and develop additional video content.
- I am proud to have a 100% female team! I am a solo founder, and have brought a wonderful creative director and content manager on board. We are also about to hire a social media consultant.

On Personal Plants, you can shop the tools you need to grow and process your plants in our marketplace, learn from plant experts through interviews and video content, and find our easy to use earth medicine kits that anyone can use to create plant based therapeutic products at home!
Why did you create Personal Plants?
I have been growing my own medicine for over 20 years and found it very difficult to get the support and information I needed to be successful. Now, people I love, like my parents, are looking at plant based alternatives to pharmaceuticals. I wanted to build something to support them.
Why is this like the Food Network or HGTV?
Before these platforms, the idea of cooking a chef inspired meal or renovating a bathroom seemed out of reach for the average person. These networks changed that and instilled confidence that these were activities for those besides the experts. We want to do the same thing for medicinal plants.
Who is Personal Plants for?
Personal Plants is for everyone! What I mean by that, is that everyone can learn to grow and process their own medicine at home. What gets in the way is the lack of clear and easy to access content online and belief that the process is expensive and complicated. We are here to show everyone that growing and processing your own therapeutic plants is fun, easy and an activity that anyone can enjoy!
