Project Description
Our mission is to provide companies with the help they need while helping individuals get back to work. When companies utilize our business process outsourcing (BPO) staffing service, they confidently receive services with integrity and accountability. Our employment practices within our staffing service include employment equity, nondiscriminatory practices, match salaries through job analysis, compatible profile to ensure work-life balance, and more.
There are many unemployed individuals across the country and many now hiring signs in businesses. Businesses have either continued survival during COVID-19 or are trying to get back on stable ground. Louisiana's unemployment rate in October of 2020 was 9.4%, while the National unemployment rate was 6.9%. Preliminary numbers for November 2020 showed a decreased rate of unemployment in Louisiana to 8.3%. This showed a slow but positive movement in the economy.
However, there is an underlying problem with Louisiana companies hiring practices. Black or African Americans make up 57.7% of the Louisiana population and 11.5% of the unemployment rate. White Americans make up 58.4% of the people and account for 6.8% of the unemployment rate. That is nearly half the unemployment rate when compared to their African American/Black counterparts. Also, men account for 64% of the population and 8.4% of the unemployment. While women 58.2% of the people and 8.0% of the unemployment rate. This data shows a bold imbalance of the hiring practices in the State of Louisiana.
In Louisiana, private companies hired 19,900 individuals between October 2020 and November 2020. Some of the business industries that employed those 19,900 included construction, mining and logging, education, and health services.
Bayou Advantage provides to employers a method to correct the imbalance of unfair hiring practices, which offers opportunities to qualified individuals regardless of sex, race, religion, and other unfair hiring practices. We bring integrity, diversity, and nondiscriminatory hiring practices to the human resources process.
Funding would allow Bayou Advantage to expand and provide employment opportunities through direct-hire, create and implement innovation marketing solutions to broaden and acquire new business opportunities, and provide working capital to assist us the recruitment , hiring and placement of individuals for our business agreements.

Frequently Asked Questions:
- Will Bayou Advantage provide public performance reports? We will give supporters quarterly campaign newsletters that contain our milestones.
- Can supporters receive Bayou Advantage financial statements? While this is not a company process, we will consider including necessary financial information related to the contributions to the economy in the quarterly newsletters.
- Who does Bayou Advantage consider employees of Bayou Advantage? Bayou Advantage will employ 2-3 individuals to be a part of the business process team. All other individuals will be regarded as temporary hires.
- If Bayou Advantage is only hiring temporary people, how is this considered helping people? We offer three types of staffing services: Temporary, Temporary to Hire, and Permanent placement. While we are dedicated to bridging the unemployment gap, we must understand the reality of business needs. We here to find and provide opportunities to individuals across spectrums.
- If I spilt my contributions into separate payments will I receive a reward for each contribution for the reward offered? While the answer is yes, we ask that we are mindful of others contributing to our campaign. We are a small business with limited supplies and would like to spread love and appreciation to all.
- I am interested in donating $10,000 or more, but do not want the SpotLight portion the reward, here there an alternative reward? Yes, alternative you may elect to receive up to three BA Level 1 office packages.
- Where will my items be shipped? As a rule of thumb, we ship items directly to the company or individual who contributed to the campaign.
- What is the payment platform for contributions? At this our payment platform for contributions is PayPal.
- Will I receive a confirmation? All those who have donated to the campaign will receive confirmation from PayPal and an electronic paid invoice from Bayou Advantage.
