What is your mission?
I want to curate a new innovative event intended to promote upcoming multi-facet artists of any ability that emulate Vegas Culture and give them a platform to showcase their art as well as inspire fearlessness in others to bring that vision to life through means of creating.

Describe the problem you are solving.​​​​​

The historic Las Vegas Arts District host some of the most exciting creative inclined events however, it is in the heart of the city.  Parking is never easy,  large crowds, and even bikes consume the streets. Also, most times homegrown artist fail in competition with the glitz and glamour attraction of the Las Vegas Strip. The Dope Exchange combined with the my monthly Paint My Ass & Party event can provide the locals as well as like minded tourist an interactive platform that brings expression, creativity, and a development of culture to the south side of Las Vegas. My plan is to curate Vegas Culture by raising awareness to multiple creative outlets in a controlled setting that can contribute to dialogue and understanding between people. Empowering them to take ownership of their own development, and as the basis for innovation, that can drive inclusive and sustainable growth to said area.

What is the market size/opportunity?

The value of the global market for creative goods doubled from US$208 billion in 2002 to US$509 billion in 2015, an increase in export growth rates of more than 7 per cent over 13 years. According to recent forecasts, the creative economy will represent around 10 per cent of global GDP in the years to come. The creative economy is not only one of the most rapidly growing sectors of the world economy, it is also highly transformative in terms of income generation, job creation and export earnings.

• What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? 

PAINT MY ASS & PARTY: AN AVANT-GARDE CREATIVE EXPERIENCE is a monthly 21+ event intended to connect new multi-facet artists of any ability that emulate Vegas culture and give them a platform to showcase their art as well as inspire others to bring that vision to life. Each month we will engage with our community to find a local painter and a unique musical talent to feature with an upcoming project we can showcase. The idea is to have the painter guide the class using the musical talents album or single cover art as inspiration and the musical artist as a live model. The consumer paintings will be hidden from the music artist view for the duration of creation time.  After painting, the consumers will get a chance to anonymously submit their art and the musical artist will perform their newest single. After the performance, the submitted art will be revealed and the musical feature will chose his/her favorite recreation of their album or single cover art. The winner will get the chance to display their art at the venue and leave with a prize.

Meet Vanessa (VEE) Warfield! She goes by VEEDynasty, VEEtheWarfield, and on special occasions VEENasty! Born and raised in here in Las Vegas she is a local Poet, Entrepreneur, and Artist! When she’s not building her dynasty, you can find this character on stage reciting her poetry, hosting events, and performing her new single PATRON NIGHTS ! In her catchy new bop, she tells a story about how TEQUILA turned her to a "TO A MF FOOL" so to kick off this event we will literally be PAINTING HER ASS & PARTYING in celebration of this Vegas natives first hit! Our local Painter will be guiding the class so beginners are more than welcomed! Grab the homies and join us for a night of creativity, tacos, & tequila as we celebrate the arrival of this unique upcoming artist!   Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

  I am seeking funding to begin investing in my creative ideas so that I can reinvest them into my community. I will use these funds to officially register my business with the US, help with legal expenses obtaining licenses/permits as well as accounting services, secure the venue, insurance for the venue, marketing expenses, start up inventory, furniture and equipment, food and beverage, cleaning supplies, event staffing, cost of launching a website, raffle items to promote sponsors and vendors, and misc expenses

  Who is on your team?

  For this first event, I am my team! I will be the organizer, host, as well as the featured artist! I will be debuting my new single PATRON NIGHTS. I have partnered with The Dope Exchange to utilize their creative space and bring Vegas Arts & Culture to the south side. I plan to create job opportunities by hiring people from my community to work as event staff. I see this monthly event expanding rapidly across the US with the potential for unconventional creative careers. I would eventually like to tour different cities like Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and NYC and curate as many events like this as possible, making endless connections and building a united platform to bring artist of all backgrounds together in the creative process.
