Need Funding for On-Campus Activities
This quarter we are starting our on-campus mentoring activities at Kennesaw State University!
Project Description
- Our mission is to foster career excellence and personal growth among young women through mentorship.
- After talking to young women on college campuses we realized that so many students did not know their next step or where to find resources to help them exceed in school, student fellowship, and future career development.
- We have been approved to be an official organization at Kennesaw State University where we have established a student-led chapter.
- The IWN is hosting multiple workshops teaching: Resume Building, How to Interview effectively, How to apply for Internships, Time Management, and Career Planning.
- We are seeking funding to: cover the costs of student head shots for business profiles, for student clothing for interviews, for refreshments at workshops, for the cost of networking events for students, and for marketing opportunities for The IWN on campus at KSU.
- The IWN's CEO is Ashley Price who is a Epidemiologist at the CDC, The COO is Cindi Simmons who is a Software Engineer at AT&T, The CFO is Gary Price who is a Project Manager at Chick-fil-A Inc. The Student President at KSU is Teagan Vaughn, and the Student Treasurer is Alleyah Allen. We also have a Board of Directors with three members who are great sources to help us navigate this Non-Profit Organization.
