My Little Tribe

My Little Tribe is a locally founded startup in Winnipeg, created by a dedicated black immigrant single mom with a passion for supporting families facing numerous challenges in accessing childcare services. Our company is built by a parent for parents, with a mission to ease the parental journey by offering a unique "à la Carte" booking system for private services while fostering a sense of community among users. The Childcare desert crisis, exacerbated by a shortage of spaces in an informal sector, disproportionately impacts families, particularly newcomers and vulnerable groups like black, single-parent, and indigenous families, who struggle to find reliable and affordable childcare. This crisis not only affects families financially, mentally, and emotionally but also leads to children feeling neglected and disconnected from their loved ones.

By harnessing the power of technology, My Little Tribe aims to empower families and childcare providers to collaborate effectively. We aspire to expand our services to include mental health therapists and nutritionists, believing that parenthood should be a fulfilling journey for both parents and children, rather than a daunting task. Our innovative MVP models offer real-time booking with verified providers and automated scheduling at a minimal cost for families, while being free for child caregivers.
