Minority-Owned Trucking Company

My name is Lakisha Armstrong and I am the owner of ARC Logistics and Transportation, which is currently based in the Augusta, GA area. I am a military Veteran, mother, sister, significant other, friend.

One year ago, I set out to become an entrepreneur, unsure of what the path would look like. I finally arrived at a point where most of my retirement savings were fleeting. At that same time, I decided to develop and grown the already-formed transportation company. 

The mission of my company is to keep the economies in the United States and, perhaps, Canada and Mexico going by commercially transporting goods and materials and to especially give employment opportunities to those needing another chance to provide for themselves and those they care about. 

The problem that I will be solving is meeting the demand for providing commercial transportation to companies that are essential to economy.  According to IBIS World (2020), the market size is $67.5B. 

My company will help provide the equipment and other resources that are required to safely transport materials from one place to another. Due to my current reality of needing funding for the administrative requirements, supplies, and equipment, I am seeking funding from donors will help me to help myself, as well as others when the time comes. My team currently consists of myself and as my company's profit margins increase, so will the offering of employment opportunities.
