- Currently, people have to pay for services like eBay, Etsy, or Amazon to sell when they might not make a profit because the market is saturated and consumers are over-advertised. Sacred Savings pays you as an employee to sell your things online instead of making you pay for listing or service fees. I am uniquely qualified because I have tried to run my own online store many times and ended up having a hard time making a profit after all the listing and transaction fees in an over-advertised society. I ran an online clothing store for a couple of years before this new market model came to my mind. I got sick with multiple sclerosis and needed a way to live. When Covid-19 hit the world, online shopping became more of a necessity instead of a commodity. Consequently, I believed my e-commerce business would flourish. Instead of growing, it died as listing prices and transaction fees increased. An e-commerce entrepreneur can't swim against the waters of big companies that people trust. Hiring sellers instead of watching them plummet into the deep abyss of service fees and payments ensures that they make money while Sacred Savings sells their merchandise. This grant would go towards payroll and fees associated with website and domain costs. I imagine it growing exponentially and becoming a national maybe even international movement as other online stores join this new market model.
