Raising money to bring artisan pastries and freshly brewed coffee drinks through the use of local farmers to circulate community money
Project Description
- Sweet Success Bakery serves artisan pastries and freshly brewed coffees through the use of South Carolina vendors to put money back into our community.
- The goal of this project is to raise money to get into a brick-and-mortar. This space would be transformed into a coworking space for local business owners to market, sell, and gain exposure.
- There are currently no coworking spaces in our community. There are a few bakery cafes however none of them cater to our black and brown women and men in the area. Being a black-owned business we understand what it takes to create a business that targets our audience.
- Our baked goods and coffee drinks will be produced from the ingredients of local farmers and other small businesses. This would return the money earned back into our community. Sumter is a small community, that we would like to believe is growing. However the rate of the population moving, the number of vacant buildings and the amount of businesses closing would state otherwise. The circulation of our money back into the community would change the trajectory of this issue.
- Funding for this project would gain access to a coworking partnership.
- This team consists of our account, social media manager, delivery driver, baker, and cake decorator. As a small business owner, we all know this is only one person, the owner. I serve every purpose and position for the business while still being a full-time mother of two and a full-time high school teacher.
- I want to thank the backers in advance. Your donation will give access to other small business owners who might have been on the verge of giving up or closing down. Thanks to you we can open our doors to assist to untapped resources.
