OUR MISSION

To design sustainable, clean beauty products that enhance the beauty already within women, making them feel more confident in themselves.

WHO’S OUR CUSTOMER

Relaunched in June 2019, Madam J Beauty is a luxury, plant-based beauty brand. Our beauty products are clean, sustainable, handmade, non-toxic, and plant-based. Our customer is conscious of the environment and their health, therefore, clean beauty is their go to for resolving all of their beauty concerns. Our motto: “Just You, The Earth, And Your Skin.”

WHY WE STARTED

After five years of working as a beauty advisor, I realized just how toxic the ingredients of these major beauty brands were. Especially in the Black community, these products can really be detrimental to our health. I decided to get in my kitchen and test out beauty products including cosmetics, body care, skin care, and most recently fragrances. All products are non-toxic, plant-based, and created using natural ingredients. We go through an extensive process to ensure our products are top notch. We also didn't want to compromise vibrancy or moisture and we’ve found a way to keep both of those in tact. My motto is "bettering the community through better for you products." Madam J Beauty is here to enhance the beauty that's within you!

WHAT SETS US APART

While many beauty brands focus on just one sector of the beauty industry, our brand focuses on four: cosmetics, body care, skin care, and fragrances, making ours a one-stop shop. In addition to this, we are a clean beauty brand. Our products don’t just cover up a problem, but they correct the problem. We use the innate power of plants to heal and reveal beautiful skin. 98% of our products are packaged in glass containers, which are recyclable and safer for the environment. 

OUR TEAM

Our team consists of Jessika (Owner, CEO, Founder), Lesley and Jenyfer (Beauty Production Assistants), and Siara (Brand Ambassador). We have grown exponentially this year which has resulted in us having to expand our team. We are confident we’ll continue to need more assistance as we grow. 
 

WHY WE CHOSE TO SEEK FUNDING 

We’re sure any business owner can attest to the many obstacles that can arise from ownership. While COVID has brought us excellent growth, it did not come without additional expenses. This funding will not only help us streamline our supply chain with a steady inventory supply and larger product batches, it will also ensure our team is paid an adequate wage. Our updated goal is $10,000. 
 

Here’s how we’ll use the funding:

1. $2,000 towards marketing expenses

2. $3,000 towards additional employee incentives and bonus pay 

3. $5,000 towards supply chain easing and inventory purchases
