Love Bigger’s Mission is to connect people who want to possess less and have the heart to share with charities who need their support. The Love Bigger Community is revolutionizing the world of charitable downsizing, creating sustainable change globally, one community at a time.
Jen Heard is a Professional Organizer for over 20 years and Past President of NAPO Michigan (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals). With a passion for stewardship combined with decluttering expertise and creativity, Jen has helped busy people lead productive and fulfilling lives for over 20 years. Recognizing a need for a revolutionary, sustainable solution to help people reduce their possessions while feeling good, Jen discovered that by contributing items to charities, people could let go with joy.
As Owner of Clean Sweep Consulting, Jen witnessed challenges people faced when parting with belongings. She realized the need for a safe, convenient, and reliable marketplace that facilitated the donation of used items and empowered a lifestyle of "loving bigger." Fueled by deep empathy and unwavering commitment to helping others, Jen developed a ground-breaking app that would transform how people approach decluttering.
Love Bigger is launching in Michigan, but Jen's vision extends nationwide in 2024. The impact of Love Bigger on US communities is immeasurable, as it provides a practical solution for decluttering and encourages a philosophy of generosity and connection.
Market/Industry Analysis
There is no other platform that allows charities to showcase their projects while efficiently requesting items they need to help people in real time. The closest is Open Table. Every month, 26 million diners use the app to search restaurants, request tables, etc. There are 75.4 million baby boomers in the US (29% of the population) aged 59 to 77, most of whom are in the process of downsizing. It is our goal to support finding homes for items they love but have to give away.
There is a wave of 75,000 people who bought Joshua Becker’s book, Becoming Minimalist, and the Minimalists podcast reached 100 million downloads. There are 6500+ organizing companies in the United States, with 87,000+ organizers. This ap provides tools for them and the 15,000 estate sale companies who can use it after sales to clean out.
