With Love Gift Shop - representation matters

Picture this. It's a Saturday morning and your daughters have a recital. You want to gift them with little brown ballerinas - something they’ll remember as the years go by. Naturally, you forgot to make a purchase online.

Where can you shop for brown ballerinas locally? What do you do? 

Hi, my name is Tiffany, owner of With Love Gift Shop located in Louisiana. At the age of 16 - I began my retail career at Justice for Girls. My first day on the job started on Black Friday. The excitement of moms rushing to find the perfect Christmas gift for their daughters has stuck with me forever.

Fast forward 14 years later with 3 little girls of my own, I’m now ‘that mom’ doing the frantic shopping. As I shop aisle-to-aisle, I notice the lack of representation of brown ballerinas, characters, brown colored dance leggings, and reading books in local shops who mirror myself and my daughters. Really, any gift shop that resonates with me and my lifestyle. I'm not only looking for convenience, I’m looking for representation. It matters.

This is how ‘With Love Gift Shop’ was birthed. At the start of the pandemic with so much uncertainty, I sent my family members handwritten notes sealed with a kiss just letting them know how much I love them although we couldn’t see each other. It’s the little things. The last two years has shown us, little things truly are the big things. They mean so much. 

It has also taught us to live life to the fullest and not take the gift of time for granted. That’s exactly why I’ve decided to launch ‘With Love Gift Shop.’ First as an e-commerce shop and quickly move into a brick & mortar location.

This gift shop will be inclusive of all the items we long for in-store. From black Santa gift wrapping paper to the little black ballerinas for recital gifts. With Love Gift Shop will be a diverse, heart-felt shop focusing on the little things that make up the special moments. A place where everyone sees themselves. Representation. 

We're selling exclusive Founding Member t-shirts to only a select few so that you can be apart of this journey. 

This campaign will fund the initial start up cost of opening the physical store. With your support - inventory will be stocked from locally owned businesses in the community as well as big name brands.
