Let's Talk Isms Across Generations

Let's Talk Isms Across Generations is an intergenerational program pairing individuals of different generations to discuss various isms, including ableism, ageism, alcoholism/addiction, racism and sexism. Our mission is to foster conversation about socially relevant isms to enhance understanding, respect, and reciprocity of knowledge and wisdom between generations. In addition, the program is intended to reduce isolation and loneliness among individuals of all ages. The program is intended to serve a diverse population with regard to age, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc. with an emphasis on including those who are marginalized in any way.  Participants will meet via video conferencing to minimize safety concerns and maximize access through technology. Upon completion of a pilot program which will include manual pairing based on demographic data, we are seeking funding to develop an algorithm that will allow pairing to be automated.  Funding will also be used for web development, marketing and advertising and expansion efforts. At this time, the founder is seeking a Chief Technology Officer for which funding will also be required.
