- I founded my baby, ‘Goddess Logistics’ the beginning of summer in the heat of the pandemic. 2020 was a crazy year to start a trucking company. I had only had one year of commercial driving with even less experience on how to run one under my belt. But in that year I had experienced every feeling a company driver did not want and that was just to be a number in a seat. Me being a woman driving semi trucks is unheard of in my family and where I am from. I am the first female in my family to drive semi trucks. I am the first in my family to become an entrepreneur. Can I add I’m not the last now. I started a trucking consultation company in 2021 where I also teach people how to start and run a trucking company. My first clients were a newly engaged couple that so happen to be family members. I showed them how to start a business, obtain a vehicle and get a contract to work as soon as the ink on the paperwork dried. Being a woman that wears many and all the hats, I’ve come to realize when I need help and more education to be successful in building my small fleet. I’ve faced the financial burden of using my finances to fund my company. I know now, I was wrong. With the extra capital I would be able to put finances towards maintenance that ensures my drivers safety. As well as gives me the credit to be successful in my consulting company. I lived it so they wouldn’t have to.
