Project Description
Vision: Interpreting Life for You is established to provide mentoring & resources for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and their families. The organization will create partnerships with the local school districts, community colleges, and workforce agency. Interpreting Life for You advisors and/or mentors will work with clients to establish an understanding of independence with life skills.
Mission: Provide services that allow the deaf and hard of hearing to experience learning success and become life-long learners and contributing members of our community.
Our Clients:
Deaf or Hard of hearing Individuals, C.O.D.A. - Children of Deaf Adults, Families with Deaf Children
Services:
Advocacy - Help voice concerns clients arefaced with such as captioning, early intervention, education, employment, emergency preparedness, health care, technology, and transportation. Make the clients views heard and Rights upheld.
Social Services - Extended services of Advocacy, provide self- empowerment with trainings to assist with the clients personal and professional settings.
Interpreting Services - American Sign Language (ASL), in addition offering ASL classes for community and member of the client’s family to minimize communication barriers.
