Vision + Mission

FutureFounder - Brasil is a social impact venture missioned to ensure that anyone, anywhere can become an innovator!

We are a female founder team of educators and entrepreneurs from Brazil and the United States who like many young people around the world, are from small towns and often felt frustrated by the limited employment opportunities available within our communities. As such, we became determined to create a startup that would create a university workforce pipeline for students committed to advancing Brazil’s development through innovation. While the COVID-19 pandemic has devastated us, it also provided an opportunity to reimagine 21st-century workforces.  

Market Opportunity 

Brazilians are natural innovators but many of these creative tendencies are unrealized because of the nascent university workforce pipeline furthered by regional inequities from Salvador to São Paulo. The average Brazilian university graduate can take up to 6 years to complete his/her degree and enters into a workforce with >30% youth unemployment. This is why FutureFounder.Br team is launching the #InnovationForAll campaign to bridge talent and opportunities from across the global innovation ecosystem to anyone, anywhere can become an innovator through the FutureFounder model.

Our theory of change is simple: you need to work at a startup before you can start one!

Our model

We recruit and select Brazilian students independent of work experience or degree programs using our entrepreneurial mindset assessment. Selected students then participate in a 1-month intensive project-based learning experience to simulate working at a startup. Upon successful completion of our program, students will have the opportunity to compete for placement opportunities with one of our partnered startup organizations. During the placement phase, students will continue to apply FutureFounder learning directly on the frontlines of innovation. At the end of the program, students will decide whether or not to remain with our startups or launch his/her own venture with the support of the FutureFounder network.

We are on our way to virtually train and place 500 innovators from across Brazil through our FutureFounder program.  For every $100 donated, we are recruit and place 5 more innovators through our program.  Help us get to our goal to train 500 innovators by August 2021!
