ARNÉ was established in 2017 by self-taught designer, Arné Oyewo. Based in Texas, ARNÉ LLC is a growing fashion house that designs chic-street couture for Gen Y/Z women who recognize the star that lives within. We love offering our clients pieces that are daring, unique, and original. Over the years we have expanded into photography and most recently, dancewear. We give our clients an experience that ensures quality and satisfaction. We have made a commitment to produce beautiful pieces that are truly one of a kind and now with love, we commit to doing our part in our community by giving back.

Paying extracurricular dues is expensive for underprivileged families, causing children to only dream of pursuing new skills and passions as time passes them by. This stunts growth, limits opportunity, and eventually diminishes ones self-esteem.

As a young person in a single-parent household, I’ve witnessed first-hand what it’s like to be gifted in several art forms, yet miss out due to the lack of resources needed. I was 8 years old when I first had the desire to dance. Shortly after I joined a dance team, we had to move due to our struggle with finances. Disappointed, I cried for days. 

All throughout my youth, we never could afford such things. The desire to dance continuously burned inside of me. By the time I was 12 I attempted to join the cheer team where I stayed no longer than a month. I missed out again, due to finances. I never danced again until I was 18, my senior year of high school. I missed out on critical early development and dance techniques, which affected both my self-esteem and my learning ability. So many others share the same story or similar. In 2021 our very first client deal fail through because over half of the team couldn't afford to pay their dues.

This year, we are seeking to launch a non-profit under our company that promotes the upliftment of economically disadvantaged youth, titled Inner Star by Arné. We plan to sponsor the extracurricular activity fees of children who are deprived of the opportunity to pursue their hobbies and interests. Enabling stars to shine is our unique way to give back to the community.

Inner Star by Arné will use approximately 5% of proceeds sold from our upcoming collection of designer dancewear to sponsor an individual in grades K-12 with an all-expense-paid sponsorship, including tryout fees. From Dance, Majorette, Flag Team, and Cheer, to Band, Choir, JROTC, Sports, etc., for as long as the child demonstrates the financial need.

The earlier we fully support the interests of our youth, the more time we have to cultivate and harvest the next generation of future leaders and change makers. With Inner Star, we aim to motivate our youth with hopes of urging them to continue on to collegiate level by pushing them to be their best and keep them out of the streets and into their books and activities.

Receiving funding will enable us to allocate funds toward:

• The first round of proceeds toward funding Inner Star
• Production costs for our first 5 dancewear samples
• The printing of our first set of promotional brochure(s), Arné: Designer Dancewear.

What’s Next? 

We plan to award a student this upcoming school year of August 2022-2023 with our very first Inner Star sponsorship. We are PROUD to say that thus far, we have already secured clientele from a local elementary school and high school. Utilizing our networks and resources, we have partnered with a local graphic design/photography business, together we will go on an HBCU tour this football season in hopes to promote and secure more clients for the Arné: Designer Dancewear campaign.
