Few opportunities arise for young adults in Africa and the diaspora to collaborate and acquire skills that can alleviate issues such as poverty they encounter on both sides of the Atlantic. MatriArts® is collaborating with both ANIKE and Skrver to enable twenty young adults in Africa and the Diaspora to design, develop, manufacture and market promotional and other materials for Daughters of the Real Revolutionaries, an initiative currently housed under The Community SoundLab.

What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? 

Through this project, the young adults will acquire marketable skills in product design, development and manufacturing. Additionally, we will encourage them to

create original works, explore and utilize a variety of media and incorporate

resources at their disposal, such as local raw materials.

Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

Presently, we do not have a budget for a project of this scope. Funding will go towards the enrolment of twenty young adults in the RISD CE course below:
