I SAW VISIONS LLC

Most African Americans do not have a central place where they can get items pertaining to their hair/skin type. Likewise, many other aspects of black culture such as art, music, clothing etc. are not centralized in an easily accessible location. Most retail locations that do sell these items are not minority owned and the black community rarely sees the profits. I SAW VISIONS is a retail experience unlike any other. This is where you can find many unique and handmade, natural products in one place. Majority if not all of the products are produced by people of color and women. Many small brands have not had ample opportunity for exposure. I SAW VISIONS would serve as the umbrella for which those products would be highlighted.

There are literally no competitors. My research is for the surrounding 5 miles. There are 14,000 blacks and Hispanics and yet not one store devoted to the needs of this demographic. There are no art collectives, no retail stores with majority black owned products, not one space that offers our products. ISV thrives by using a consignment-like process, where multiple brands are represented. The store is located in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Blacks and Hispanics are the minority, yet there are thousands without representation. Representation matters. Most of these homes are above the poverty line, as we are located in a middle-upper class area. This allows us to serve an under represented demographic while also having the economic advantage of being in a financially inclining area. 

My edge comes from combining the "underdog" mentality of numerous small business that desire to exceed and succeed. My unique experience is in public relations. I have been an active member of the community and I am connected with local leaders, politicians, organizations and several philanthropy groups. My store will be competitive because there is no competition.
