- What is the mission of your company or project?
- Create a workforce for women fighting cancer, labeled as disabled, and need a means to support their family.
- Describe the problem you are solving.
- Cancer takes a lot from us. Our ability to fight is overshadowed by our families and in what direction our careers take. Lots of able bodied women are taken out of the workforce. Forced to have things taken care of instead of being able to take care of things yourself. It's hard giving up that independence. I would like to have a a place where we can meet, work, and support each other.
- What is the market size/opportunity?
- This year, an estimated 284,200 people (281,550 women and 2,650 men) in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, excluding skin cancer. Six percent (6%) of women have metastatic breast cancer when they are first diagnosed.
- What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem?
- We create resin products like dominoes, tic tac toe, connect 4, jars, and many more things to enjoy with family and friends. This will create a small workforce for women fighting cancer to generate an income.
- Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?
- I am seeking funding because sometimes we can feel financially trapped. We need a place to come together, learn a new craft, and generate an income.
