Project Description

  • After three years of working as a Sped paraeducator in a school district, I quit to be my fathers full time caregiver-he was suffering from 2 types of dementia, diabetes, and aphasia.
  • In June he got COVID, in July a firework hit the abandoned house next to ours burning our entire backyard and our main line of electricity to our home, leaving all of us evacuated from our home for two months. We could have been taken out by either one of these events, but God. We knew we were protected and I felt called to start a Ministry. God 4 the Answer Answer Ministries-reaching out through podcast and social media to let other people know but there is a God who is for them. I began to write a book to help others be encouraged after I had suffered for years from PTSD, OCD, and anxiety and depression. Then, Dad got worse. He had to be moved to a home and because he was my job I was now facing a Crossroads. And looking at our beautiful family of 6 and trying to decide what to do next  All Threads was born.
  • In a world where there are many other women just like me, looking to clothe their family's their families but tired of the endless, crowded dirty, racks at the usual thrift stores with almost the same prices as the department store, I want to offer a different experience that is inclusive and allows me to continue my work writing, and building community. We want to be the first Tricities PREWASH Thrift store. We wash all our items in a commercial washer in free and clear detergent. We also want the store to feel like a Forever 21 or a Maurices-calming, comforting, simplistic and easy to shop in-this is undone in our area.
  • I have the opportunity to open up a 1100 square foot storefront in a shopping stretch called the Parkway in Richland Washington. The location has tons of foot traffic, the farmers market packs the streets every Friday from June to October. It is the perfect storm for my perfect customer.
  • I see the market size in 3 to 5 years turning into a multple storefront opportunity-with employment opportunities.
  • To start and keep the business afloat while the community discovers us we need seed funding-for fixtures, manicans, marketing, space rent, utilies, signage, etc.
  • In closing, our team is small, but mighty. I have 2 teenagers excited to learn and help and 2 other volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves and all of us want to extend our gratitude for any help you can offer as we embark on this new journey! We feel your support all the way through you device and cant thank you enough for it!-Tara and All Threads
