Help Support MentorHer Ghana!
Help us raise funds to execute our robust 2022 programming. Be a part of the progress!
Project Description
From 2017 to 2019, Kwahu Ghana alone a community of 70K, has recorded over 600 teenage pregnancies between the ages of 13-17. Young girls being pregnant during these pivotal years is a threat that deserves attention. This situation continues the cycle of children living in impoverished communities, subsequently, they have low self-confidence and self-esteem and underdeveloped social skills. MentorHer Ghana a 501(c)3 charity is accepting the challenge of changing this narrative.
The overarching issue is that rural Ghanaian girls do not have access to resources, programs and training to instill professional skills and personal or career development. MentorHer Ghana's mission is to "Guide Ghana's daughter's with support, resources, and creative thinking tactics while cultivation personal and professional skills to advance themselves, their community and the African Diaspora." We are asking that you assist us in this bold mission by helping us fund our 2022 programming.

With the opportunity to serve millions of rural girls within the 16 regions of Ghana, we've teamed up with amazing organizations such as Let's Tour Kwahu, Lagatos, Inc., and Emerging Ladies Academy to bring our programming to fruition. Our vision is to give these girls support, resources, self-confidence, and self-reliant skills that they can use to build up themselves and their community. Our charge is to catch these young ladies at this pivotal age, empower them to be critical strategic thinkers, help them to start building impactful global networks and relationships, and teach them the skills that they need to thrive and be leaders.
