Our goal is to raise $8,000 to expand awareness of our brand through strategic advertising campaigns and to participate in Popup shops and Craft Fair events

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THIS CAMPAIGN WOULD ALLOW US TO: 
 

• Finance  consistent and cohesive advertising campaigns, with larger advertising budgets
• By consistently running advertisements, Melanated Culture Club will be seen by more people over a longer period
• This repetition and exposure can lead to greater brand recognition and recall, increasing the likelihood of attracting new customers
• To collaborate with PR and Marketing resources to make our brand stronger and to expand our brand visibility across social media outlets
• To take advantage of Popup Shop opportunities for direct interpersonal connections with customers
• To fund the entry fees and travel costs required to participate in major craft fairs
• To purchase additional shelving to store inventory

ABOUT MELANATED CULTURE CLUB: 

We understand how frustrating it can be to want to support black-owned businesses or find products that represent our culture, only to be met with limited options or none at all when shopping.  Visiting any major retail outlet, and unless its February for Black History Month, the product selection representing the lifestyle for the black consumer is miniscule.  That's where Melanated Culture Club comes in, by providing a one-stop shop dedicated to the Black American community.    

Melanated Culture Club's mission is to shine a spotlight on the underserved African American community in the retail sector.  We strive to design and create products that reflect the richness and diversity of African American culture and experiences.  Our brand is built on values of inclusivity, authenticity, and celebration of heritage.  We believe in giving voice to the voiceless, making the invisible visible, and ensuring everyone is represented.  At Melanated Culture Club, we don't just sell products; we aim to inspire, uplight, and create a sense of community and belonging among our customers when shopping for personal and gift items. 

According to McKinsey & Company, there is a $300 billion opportunity serving the emerging Black American Consumer.  There's a big market to be unearthed if companies meet the real needs of Black consumers.  In 2019, consumer expenditures by Black households totaled approximately $835 billion.⁽¹⁾
