Project Description
March 2020, our lives all changed from the Covid-19 pandemic – mine in
two ways: first, I gave birth to twins in lockdown, and second, my love of
baking turned into a passion and a business.
I began baking bread for my family and friends as a way to stay in touch
during lockdown. Because my friends couldn’t get enough, in early 2021, I
started The Early Rise, SF – a small cottage bakery for friends and family
from my own kitchen. I also started sharing my experience on social media.
What started as a passion project has grown into regular source of advice on
slow-fermented baked goods, with a growing community of over 22
THOUSAND followers. After a year of developing recipes, sharing my goods
freely and nailing the art of slow fermented baked goods, I decided I wanted to
make this my career.
To keep growing that community, I need your help! Mainly, that means
equipment and supplies, including:
A commercial-grade oven
A large mixer
Tools and equipment
Local, organic flour
I want to serve my neighbors and the community around me by baking
delicious and nutritious slow fermented bread and baked goodies, with zero
waste. Your contributions make this possible.

This gives you one loaf of bread to be ordered through my website or Instagram, starting early April, but valid for the entirety of 2022. Pickup in the Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco.
I'll provide everything!
You'll find yourself with a wealth of knowledge about baking bread, and you'll know how to do it in your own oven!
Includes:
*sourdough starter, scale, one banneton, a lame for scoring bread, a bench scrape, one finished loaf of bread and one loaf you can bake tomorrow!
Each additional friend $50.00
Let me come to your house and create a table of goodies for you and your friends!
*bread, baked goods and cold charcuterie
*champagne and orange juice, or other cold drinks that you prefer
*You choose what I bake!
*I come, set it up, and leave you to enjoy your meal. Minimal cleanup!
