WHO ARE WE?

 

We are a start up agro-processing company with the vision to formulate delicious, nutritious and affordable foods from locally grown produce!

 

We are Located in Zambia and we are called Weany Productions!

 

THE PROBLEM

We saw the need for an increased variety of nutritious porridge options that are all natural, preservative free and AFFORDABLE.

From the start, we have been selling to parents in our community,,,,

Who absolutely love our product and are asking for more.

Other than children, porridge-loving adults enjoy our blend too.

We process raw materials to a product and  sell to distributors,  retailers and directly to consumers.

 

THE PRODUCT

 

The product is a blend of pre-conditioned  rice and soya beans that cooks in 10 minutes.

 

Rich in energy and protein,  our consumers enjoy a delicious and nutritious treat from every pack consumed.

 

OUR RAW MATERIALS

Locally sourced from small scale farmers and marketeers

 

THE PRICE

 

The wholesale price of each 500g pack costs approximately $1 and retail price is &1.25

Our Profit margin is 16% on each item.

 

We have made our prices low as our vision is to ensure all family’s regardless of economic status can afford our products. Thus reducing rates of malnutrition in low-income homes.

 

THE TEAM

Manager: Lweendo Hachamba. Possesses a Bachelor of Science and Technology in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Food Safety. She is also the founder .

 

Head of Operations: Nzamose Phiri. A chemical process engineer with a creative mind.

 

Finance Manager: Twaambo Sichikolo. An accredited accountant (ACCA II)

We also have a team of 3 general workers who process the raw materials.

 

FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

In order to increase our capacity , we need to purchase  equipment.

 

Our goal in this campaign is $1 000.

MARKETING

 

We understand how critical it is to market our products in order to ensure continuous growth, sales and brand presence.

 

Part of the fund will carter a marketing budget that includes social media  influencers , Strategic Partnerships, Street posters,  TV and Radio.

 

LONG TERM PLAN GROWTH

 

We have other formulations  that do not not currently exist on the market. We intend to launch these products on the market progressively to give our consumer base more healthy foods.

We shall be processing more home grown foods into delicious and nutritious foods!

Compared to competitors, our product is preferred for being natural. While other similar products are highly processed, loaded with synthetic additives and preservatives, we take pride in providing an alternative is not only healthier (natural) but also delicious and affordable to all regardless of socio-economic class.

You will be helping a woman owned business, employing vulnerable women and supporting poor women farmers. Your contribution will go a long way in alleviating poverty in the lives of others.
