Golden Bakery Food Truck

Hello! Our names are Alyssa and Shannon, and we are the founders of Golden Bakery Company. Starting today, we would like to further our business by expanding to a food truck! This will allow us to bring our treats to our community in a more personable and interactive way.

We have been best friends since childhood, and have fell into a love of baking. In January 2021 we decided to begin our own online bakery and we have been running it together ever since! We are both very passionate about baking to order for parties, individuals, special events, and coffee shops in our community.
 

Golden Bakery is known for our cute, tasty, bite sized treats. We specialize in cupcakes, cakesicles, cake bites, mini individual tray cakes, and cookie cakes. We love to catering for a variety of events with any theme our customers can think of! For example, we have made superhero theme, the Little Mermaid, birthdays, gender reveal, Halloween, Christmas, weddings, and so much more! Every order is made to order and baked fresh. (Our secret ingredient is love!) In addition to online orders, we also supply our baked goods to local coffee shops on a weekly basis.

Now we want to take our baking skills to the next level. We want to take them on the road! Creating a food truck for our business would allow us to reach more customers and interact with the community on a more personal level, face to face. The town of Harrison is near and dear to our hearts. We love being a part of the strong community Harrison has created for its residents and small businesses. Nothing makes us happier than attending events and chatting with old friends, former teachers, other local business owners, family friends, and anyone who stops by for a treat. However, we also want to reach other neighboring towns and make new customers!

With this food truck, we would be one of the first cupcake and cake pop trucks in Westchester, NY. We would be able to physically be out in the town, in person greeting and handing out our treats! We could also be at parties and local events as a vendor. We aim to be at parks, local neighborhoods, personal parties, corporate events, and wherever else our truck can take us.

While discussing our business with local community members, everyone always asks us when we’re getting a store front or where they can find us next. With this truck, that problem is solved! Our baked goods need to be on display and seen, as that’s a big factor in our marketing and consumers decision to purchase. As the saying goes, people eat with their eyes!

We are seeking funding because we cannot achieve this dream by ourselves. We both attended college and decided that baking is our passion, but haven’t been able to start the truck with personal funds due to steep up front costs. Our beginnings are different than other business out there since we are trying to start this business with just the earnings from our baked goods, and of course, your help!

Here is the specific breakdown of how we will use the funds:

• Purchase a used truck.
• Renovate the truck by installing walls, flooring, sink, outside vinyl wrapping, mechanical updates, etc.
• Apply for food truck permit and pay for commissary fees.
• Supplies needed to bake and start selling on the truck such as, baking ingredients, larger mixer, packaging, Square cash register, menu signs, awnings, coolers, etc.

Even if we do not achieve our goal amount, any and all donations would be extremely appreciated. We value every person who supports us since they are helping us achieve our dreams! Without the support of our friends and our community, we wouldn’t have even thought about starting a food truck. We have gotten so much love so far, that we hope Golden Bakery Company can continue to grow. Thank you to everyone in advance!
