Glam Life: Houston’s 1st Cosmetic Beauty Bar

Our journey began almost 20 years ago when my sister and I were 3 and 6 years old. Our mother, Nicole, was in a well-known cosmetic company for 12 years. She was a top earner in the company, earning many cars, several awards, and tons of money. Ultimately, my sister and I accompanied her to all of her makeover events & parties, which helped us learn the fundamentals of business & the basics of makeup at a young age.

Little did we know that once my sister, Ashlyn, turned 18 years old, that she would receive the vision through a school assignment of us beginning our own cosmetic brand, Glam Life Cosmetics.

Glam Life Cosmetics was born in 2018. We even started our own cosmetic studio called The Glam Studio where we came across hundreds of ladies every month offering free makeovers & teaching them hands on how to apply the basics of makeup. The demand became too overwhelming and we could not keep up with the supply. We fought hard but just did not have enough capital to keep it afloat. Years later, in 2022, we relocated from Louisiana to Texas to relaunch Glam Life Cosmetics, now named Glam Life Beauty Bar. We now have a kiosk in The Willowbrook Mall in Houston, TX where we see thousands of customers per month and are open 7 days per week. We offer full face glams and we also sell our own brand of products. We aim to empower our customers to embrace their unique beauty and shine brightly. At Glam Life Beauty Bar, we believe that beauty has the power to enhance confidence and transform lives. We now understand our journey and how it has shaped us all to be experienced and ready for all that’s to come.

When Glam Life Beauty Bar is awarded funding, we have several plans on utilizing the funds. Firstly, as a company, we plan to implement ways such as inventory investments, advertising campaigns, and to expand our current location, to exponentially grow the business. For inventory investments, we will utilize the funds to increase the quantities of our products. We will be able to purchase inventory in larger bulk to ultimately increase our revenue. For advertising campaigns, we will be able to pay for social media & in person advertisement. 

We would like to create new products & packaging, our main focus right now is manufacturing custom formulations and custom boxes with our logo for all of our products. 

We are in current need of expanding our current location. We are currently located at a mall kiosk but would love to upgrade to a larger walk in kiosk or storefront that provides the ultimate beauty bar experience. This will help us tremendously, especially when we have several people at one time inquiring to try a product or get a makeover. Currently, we have to turn customers around because the space is just not large enough for our demand. 

As a business, we are definitely prepared to utilize the funds to positively impact Glam Life Beauty Bar.
