For every occasion, there is a Gesture to commemorate it.

The Gesture Company is a high end, custom gift giving brand. We connect high quality products, the art of thoughtful gift giving and an unmatched aesthetic, to create a gifting experience that is truly personal. Our pre-curated boxes each include 5-6 items all speaking to the individual theme of that box. Drop 1 includes our 3 flagship boxes, “The Date Night Box”, “The Housewarming Box”, & “The Self Care Box” & all execute their themes in detail. All of these boxes were thoughtfully curated to feel custom and specific to the occasion & the person receiving the Gesture Box.

Where wellness, intentionality & luxury meet.

We are going to make the words, Black, Female Owned, Wellness and Luxury, all synonymous. The gift giving market is a messy place. There is no streamlined guide on how to put together a thoughtful, but luxury gift. There are singular items scattered across the internet and retail stores, but no centralized location where you can go to browse an array of occasion specific, but premium quality gifts. Drop 2 will include, "The Break up Box", "The Best Man Box" & "The Birthday Box". No matter the occasion, if you come to the Gesture Co, you're at a one stop shop. By Drop 6, you will have 19 boxes to choose from, spanning all holidays and occasions you can think of.

Imagine, during the chaos of Christmas shopping, being able to have your sister, your mom and your girlfriends gifts all done and on their way to their doorsteps in a few clicks. Genius.

We bootstrapped it! Ownership of our products & control of our aesthetic was key.

They tell you not to spend your own savings, or swipe your credit cards to fund your startup, but our founders are cut from a different cloth. With total ownership in mind and the ability to determine the overall creative and aesthetic, 90% of every item that comes in the Gesture boxes, are owned by the Founders. The question & answer game, "Nitty Gritty," which is found in our Date Night Box, was created by the Founders. The daily affirmations book, "Life isms", which comes in the Self Care Box, was written by one of the founders. The same goes for the home goods products, the candles, incense and room sprays. It was of the upmost importance to us, that opening a Gesture Box feels like a luxurious & personal experience. We knew that could only be achieved by creating our own individual products.

Founder Facts.

Sasha Lance

As the Director of Operations and Branding of a multi million dollar hospitality group in Los Angeles, Sasha fine tuned her ability to speak directly to the group she's serving. That language is not just transmuted through branding, marketing, and content creation, but also through the brands aesthetic choices. Under her guidance, Sasha was able to expand the company from 1 property to 3. She has simultaneously ran the companies logistics, while also keeping it socially connected and relevant. That kind of attention to detail & ability to affectively multitask, are immediately reflective in Gesture's commitment to quality. Although, this skill set may show itself most noticeably, in the companies relentless planning & executing cycle. 

Our founders both bring very different things to the table. Brittney Brooks comes from a background in fashion. She is a designer & entrepreneur, with a successful streetwear brand under her belt already. As a now, sought after brand consultant,  Brittney honed her ability to source and make tangible, high quality items at a cost effective price. This skill set makes achieving The Gesture aesthetic and commitment to quality, possible.

Allocating Funds.

As with any new brand, branding is almost as important as the actual product. We will be using a large portion of our proceeds to launch a complete marketing and branding campaign. After carefully researching tons of influencers across multiple platforms, we've compiled a list of marketing partners who take up significant space in the lifestyle, wellness and home goods worlds. Through sponsoring their Youtube episodes, Instagram deals, and partnerships with other brands, Gesture will be everywhere.

Creating visibility must be followed up a strong brand identity. We will also use a portion of the proceeds for our visual marketing campaign. Lifestyle type of commercials, complete with treatments will be filmed to capture the essence of the brand, and the products. This content will also be in wide circulation. 

Follow through is a part of what the company was built on. A portion of the budget will go to executing Drops 2 & 3. The brands longevity, is just as important to us, as the launch.
