Garnet Gal's Coffee Shop & Bakery

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I promised myself that if I survived, I would make changes in my life.  I would do work that I enjoyed and do more to help others.  I decided to open a small coffee shop and bakery offering healthier food and beverage options without sacrificing taste.  I have a great team and we collaborate to make delicious drinks and food daily.

We mill flour onsite and the syrups for our beverages are made in house.    I realized that there wasn't a shop in Atlanta milling organic grains and serving organic beverages, so it became my goal to share the benefits with everyone.

I also wanted to establish a place where people could meet their neighbors and get to know one another.  Opening in the middle of a pandemic was an unexpected challenge.   We appreciate our regular customers and we know them by name.  They are a part of our family.   We realize, however, that many people are choosing to stay home right now.

We recently partnered with The Georgia 55 Project to feed voters in underserved communities on Election Day.  We also created a campaign to deliver lunches to front-line COVID-19 staff at the Atlanta VA Medical Center and delivered over 150 lunches.  We will use the funds we receive for working capital and to continue our community outreach.   

We expect the next few months will continue to be challenging for all as we navigate through these uncertain times and we truly appreciate your support.
