Who We Are

Freebird Greenery is a Black woman owned pop up plant shop started in the midst of the Covid lockdown. For nearly a year, we have been collaborating with Philadelphia area businesses to provide a fun and vibrant shopping experience for plant lovers. We've loved seeing you all for our pop ups but we want to bring you more. More plant care advice, more variety, more time with everyone of you.  So, we are ready for a home of our own!

What's Next?

In our new space, we envision Freebird Greenery to be a family friendly place to spend the afternoon browsing plants, taking workshops or just relaxing and flipping through our selection of books and magazines. With cozy seating, chill music to set the vibe, and a workstation for repotting plants (no more mess at your place!), this will truly be a gathering space for the plant community.

About the Owner

Adrienne has spent the last decade learning and caring for plants of all varieties. What started as a curious venture into patio gardening soon led her to take the Penn State Extension's Master Gardener program. With her newfound knowledge, Adrienne began teaching others how to start and maintain their own gardens. Eventually, her focus pivoted to houseplants and the value and beauty they bring to every home.
