WHO WE ARE 

Flora & Noor is an inclusive skincare brand with halal, vegan, and cruelty-free products. My hope is to encourage self-care and wellness and provide skincare for those who are looking for products that target the skin concerns of those with melanin-rich skin, those who need to use halal products, and those who appreciate clean skincare.

WHAT PROBLEM ARE WE SOLVING?

We provide skincare for those who are looking for products that target the skin concerns of those with melanin-rich skin, those who need to use halal products, and those who appreciate clean skincare. Flora & Noor solves the vacancy of halal skincare products in the beauty industry and provides skincare options for clean skincare enthusiasts and unrepresented consumers like those with melanin-rich skin, those who are environmentally conscious, and those who need to use halal products.

In the halal skincare market, most Muslim-owned halal skincare brands do not have ingredients and formulations that target the concerns of those with melanin rich skin nor are they marketed to us. I wanted to make sure my brand was inclusive of all of my sisters and so I chose ingredients that work to treat skin conditions of those with melanin rich skin like mine and continue to work to create even more solutions for us. Halal skincare is a healthier alternative to regular skincare even for non-Muslim consumers as well which is why it is important that more people become educated and familiar with the existence of this option. increased awareness of Flora & Noor has impacted and will continue to impact those underrepresented in the skincare industry.

HOW LARGE IS THE MARKET SIZE AND OPPORTUNITY?

The global halal beauty market is projected to reach USD 52.05 billion by 2025 and you can see this with increased Muslim influencers and consumers being the face of brands in the beauty space. Additionally, African Americans spent $465 million on skincare alone in 2018 and spend $1.1 billion in beauty annually. Being a black owned inclusive halal, vegan, and cruelty free beauty brand allows us to have one of the largest markets in the beauty and skincare industry.

WHY ARE WE SEEKING FUNDING?

We are seeking funding to expand our team, increase our marketing and brand awareness, and increase our inventory. We are seeking $150,000 to be distributed in the following way: 

• $25,000 to increase our inventory for consumer sales.
• $35,000 for marketing and brand awareness: We will accomplish this by leveraging the internet and social media platforms like; Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Google shopping, brand partnerships, press, engaging in events in targeted locations, and ensuring that our products are well branded.
• $70,000 budget to expand team with product manager, marketing officer, and financial manager so I can efficiently and successfully grow the business.
• $20,000 to move to larger space for operations and increased inventory and production.
