Hello! I am Micaela Owens a twenty-six year old new mother, cosmetologist, social media influencer and founder of Flora Glow Cosmetics, LLC. 

Flora Glow Cosmetics is an online retail company that offers affordable, handmade organic skin care products, cosmetics and soon, digital consultations and wholesale packages for upcoming small businesses. Flora Glow Cosmetics was created to offer pure, organic and highly effective products that are financially accessible to customers of all budget ranges.

Many people are under the impression that quality skin care and cosmetics are only available at a high price point which makes it less accessible to those who want and/or need it. Women and men of all ages often suffer from low self esteem due to lack of proper skin care information and products.New business owners often dive head first into their ventures with a lack of proper knowledge on legally establishing, managing and growing a company. The majority of resources available to aid new or aspiring business owners cost hundreds (in some cases thousands) of dollars.

Flora Glow Cosmetics offers pure, organic and highly effective products that are financially accessible to customers of all budget ranges. Products are all under $30 and are often included in monthly sales with low shipping costs. Wholesale packages for current or aspiring business owners are at least 25% lower in price with free shipping included. Business start up consultation packages are under $100 and include extensive resources that are not typically offered by traditional consulting or mentor services such as how to legally register a company in a specific state and techniques to establish business credit.

I have started this campaign to further grow and expand Flora Glow Cosmetics, LLC. Funds will be used to purchase shipping supplies, upgraded packaging, bulk ingredients, product packaging material, advertising, marketing influencers on social media, equipment such as a new laser jet printer, desktop computer, storage containers, etc. The money will also be used to rent an office suite to operate the business more efficiently.

After experiencing an abrupt decrease in sales and access to resources due to the effects of COVID-19, I conducted extensive research to increase my knowledge about online marketing and advertising. The information gained during this time helped to increase the social media presence of Flora Glow Cosmetics, LLC over 400% within a time frame of only three months. I also took the initiative to enroll in Kaizen Beauty Academy to earn my cosmetology license. This step was a personal decision of mine to further enhance my knowledge about skin care through an extensive esthetician program as well as hair care, nail care, cosmetic application and salon business management. The skills and knowledge gained from school has helped tremendously with formulating new and improved products that have even more beneficial properties in customers' self care routines while remaining budget friendly.
