- What is the mission of your company or project?
- My mission at Shadowlight Wellness is to help empaths and highly sensitive people (HSP's) embrace all parts of themselves, so that they can experience greater self acceptance, peace and pleasure in their lives.

- Describe the problem you are solving.
- High sensitivity is a scientifically recognized trait, though it is still largely unrecognized in society. Empaths and HSP's are characterized by qualities such as depth of processing, and heightened sensitivity to external stimuli.
- They face challenges such as overstimulation/overwhelm in busy settings, feeling pressure to process faster than is natural for them, and experience energy drain from time spent in groups.
- Due to the general lack of awareness that this inherent trait exists, many empaths and HSP's receive messaging that their unique qualities are weaknesses, or something that has to be masked or compensated for.
- What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem?
- My products/services will consist of 1:1 coaching, an 8-week signature group course, topical masterclasses, a low cost monthly membership, and a free resource library; so that customers of all income levels can receive value and support.
- My products/services aim to solve the problem by:
- Building awareness of this population's unique attributes and needs both within my target audience, and on a societal level.
- Help customers identify, accept, and learn to meet a lot of their own needs; AND expand their language in order to better articulate those needs to others.
- Equip customers with a personal "toolkit" of free, body-based practices to process emotions and regulate their nervous system.
- Providing a container for community, to give customers a sense of support and camaraderie in what can otherwise be an isolating area.
- Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?
- I am seeking funding due to the reality that I was laid off from full-time employment in a company shutdown in April 2022, and am funding my company 100% with my personal savings, and my Self Employment Benefits that end after the week of 11/12.
- I have not received funding from an external source, nor do I receive support from a partner or family.
- Funding I receive will be put towards paying my virtual assistant, marketing and advertising, continued research into this population, and business expenses such as software.
- If I receive funding, it will also allow me to focus energy on building out my free content library, and designing a scholarship program to offer "free-ride" coaching packages to customers of underserved or marginalized communities.

- My team consists only of myself, and a freelance virtual assistant.
