• What is the mission of your company or project?

The Mission  of Concepts Lab is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand what, how, and why aspects of day to day science.

• Describe the problem you are solving.

We had a deep appreciation for the creative, hands-on projects that encourage this kind of thinking, but as a parent, we often found that our best intentions fell short. It was tough to find the time to do the research and come up with an idea. 

Concepts Lab does research in Educational Toys with Do It Yourself methodology. It is the process of constructing, changing, or fixing things that make them keen observers which is a gift they will use for a lifetime.

• What is the market size/opportunity?

The Indian toys market reached a value of US$ 1.23 Billion in 2020. India has one of the largest young population in the world, owing to which, the toy industry in the country has witnessed a rapid growth. The market is brimming with a wide array of both traditional and modern toys. However, with evolving trends, there has been a shift from conventional toys towards innovative and hi-tech electronic toys

Driven by a huge consumer base, India represents an important market for toys. With a population of around 1.3 Billion, it is the second largest populated country in the world.

• What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? 

We have developed “ Paper Circuit Kit “ an educational DIY toys, with the help of this toy/Kit , Kids can explore various electronics concepts along with Craft & Drawing.

Kids can make many different paper-based projects that light-up in cool and surprising ways when you learn circuitry basics using LEDs, copper tape, and coin cell batteries. Building on a starter paper circuit’s project, you can experiment with more advanced techniques like creating a DIY switch or making a parallel circuit with multiple lights.

 Kids can Explore more ideas, materials, and projects such as glowing pinwheels, light up helicopters, and pop-up cards. Have fun and get creative to light up your world however you want! By combining aesthetics and basic electronics you can create projects like greeting cards, origami, and traditional art such as paintings or drawings. 

• Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding?

We are now working upgrading the product as well as manufacturing. We will mainly invest on Design and Manufacturing of Product.

• Who is on your team?

Prachi Deshmukh, myself is founder of Concept Slab along with Mr. Chetan Saharkar, Nilesh Deshmukh works in Research & Development Team.
