- What is the mission of your company or project?
Our mission here at Evolution Dog Training, LLC is to instill a strong foundation of obedience and to encourage & strengthen the bond & communication between handler and canine and to see that relationship evolve into a great team. We hope with every set of students we give them the tools needed to navigate their new lives together.

- Describe the problem you are solving. With good training we hope to minimize the number of dogs that are dropped off at a shelter for behavior issues and end up euthanized. We are also committed to educating the public about dogs behavior and how there is a common ground so to speak where they learn how to speak each others language.
- What is the market size/opportunity? Where the building is located there are no training facilities and it is a busy street. With advertisement and word of mouth that there is finally a place that trains dogs in the south end of Louisville people will be pleased. I took a poll in a community Facebook group and an overwhelming number of people said they would appreciate a training facility so close.
- What is your company/product about and how does it solve the problem? Our product is great training skills. We will use this is solve the complex relationships between owner and dog. Each relationship is different and requires different strategies in order to fix the unwanted behavior. Our programs help humans to understand their dogs more and vice versa. When they are on the same wave length anything is possible. Some go on to competition obedience in order to keep that bond and attachment to their dog. I think the Human Only classes help to educate owners about things that would slip their mind like pick up after their dog in public, which stores are pet friendly, when coffee shops and bars are pet friendly, health and nutrition and breed specific information.
- Why are you seeking funding and how will you spend the funding? I am seeking funding because I need it in order to lease a building that would be perfect for a dog training facility. The owner is actually letting me do a build out which is construction on the inside of the building to make it dog friendly. I've estimated that this renovation will cost anywhere between $15,000-$20,000. I will also need equipment and training tools i.e. collars, leashes, treats. If I get funding I would able to offer so much more to the community then what I am now. I can offer Group Classes, Board and Trains, Day Training, Vacation Boarding, Private Lessons at my location, Memberships to group walks, and so much more. I do plan on selling merchandise as well, collars, leashes, treats etc. Possibly dog food at some point.
- Who is on your team? Just me for now. I would like to hire two part-time employees eventually.
